Soldier Field Tifo Gallery

This dynamic display celebrates the fans who have passionately supported the Chicago Fire for decades, and introduces newer fans to their storied past.

The Footy Museum organized and designed an exhibit for The Chicago Fire’s Fan Appreciation Night at Soldier Field. The Tifo Gallery features vintage banners made by CFFC supporters, exhibition boards about each piece with photos and video links to in-stadium displays, as well as an introduction to CFFC supporters groups for newer fans.

The Footy Museum worked with supporters groups and representatives from the Chicago Fire to locate these vintage tifos and coordinate the event. We researched the history of each banner, and created a large-scale display solution that highlights these unique works. This display suits a wide variety of potential exhibit spaces—from the white walls of a gallery to the halls of Soldier Field.

Long-time supporters were excited to reflect on decades of Fire community. Newer fans were given a behind-the-scenes peak of the supporters section.

The exhibit tells the story of each piece on display, and educates the audience about the impact supporters groups have had on stadium atmosphere and club culture.
